Rod joined Merrill Lynch in 1995 and has 19 years of financial services experience. Today, Rod works closely with clients on wealth management and wealth transition strategies.
Rod is a specially qualified senior portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. Senior portfolio managers are provided a high degree of flexibility in constructing portfolios and selecting securities. When servicing clients through the firm's Investment Advisory Program, a senior portfolio manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. After meeting certain additional requirements, a senior portfolio manager may use his own strategies to manage the assets of other Merrill Lynch Advisors' clients.
Rod earned his bachelor's degree with honors in history from the University of Michigan. He resides with his wife, Tracy, and their three children in Highland Park, Illinois. Barron's named Rod to its 2014 Top 1,200 Financial Advisors list. He appeared on Barron's Top 1,000 Financial Advisors list in 2011 and 2013.
Kevin joined Merrill Lynch in 1998 as a trust specialist with the Merrill Lynch Trust Company and the Merrill Lynch Wealth Structuring Group, and has served as a wealth management advisor since early 2013. He joined the financial services industry in 1989. Kevin offers clients customized advice and guidance in wealth management, retirement planning services and wealth transfer strategies. He is a CFP® certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He also holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designations. Kevin earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Illinois State University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He resides in Western Springs, Illinois, with his wife, Eileen, and two daughters.
Betsy joined the firm in 1985 and has spent the majority of her 28-year Merrill Lynch career coordinating all aspects of supervisory and administrative issues with senior branch management. Betsy joined The Loewenthal Group in 2005, bringing her talent and a tremendous drive to strengthen all aspects of the client experience. She provides support in all phases of client service and client relationship management. Betsy resides in Lindenhurst, Illinois, with her husband, James, and their three daughters.
Justin joined Merrill Lynch in 2006 and has 10 years of financial services experience. He assists in the daily business activity of the team, with a focus on technological team support and helping clients develop their financial outlook. Justin provides personalized assistance to clients, with high-level problem-solving skills. Calling upon his innovative approach, Justin serves on the firm's Client Associate Technology Committee, where he handles testing and introduction of updated software. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Capital University, in Columbus, Ohio, where he earned a varsity soccer letter three years in a row. He lives in Grayslake, Illinois, with his wife, Magdalena, and son, Conor.
Marianne has more than 20 years of financial services experience, having joined Merrill Lynch in 1993. Her main focus for the team is providing direct administrative support to clients, taking care of daily service needs and helping clients through the onboarding process.
Marianne is an active volunteer for the Misericordia Home for people with developmental disabilities, in Chicago. She is passionate about gardening, music and cooking.
