Paul joined Merrill Lynch in 1984. His knowledge and commitment to financial services have been recognized with an appointment as senior resident director of the Encino office—where he oversees a skilled financial advisor team—and as a past member of the prestigious Resident Director's Advisory Council to Management.

In his own words, Paul is "relentlessly dedicated" to providing outstanding service to clients, including the individual, pension and business clients with whom he personally interacts. He is a qualified portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm's Investment Advisory Program, a portfolio manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation.

A Californian who has lived his entire life in the San Fernando Valley, Paul studied political science at UCLA and lettered on the Bruins' renowned fencing team for four consecutive years. He is a member of El Caballero Country Club, an avid golfer and is active in the community. A past president of a synagogue, he is currently involved with the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, serving on its board of directors and as co–campaign chair of the Valley Alliance of the Jewish Federation.

Paul lives in Woodland Hills with his wife, Jackie. They have two grown daughters. Both Paul and Jackie enjoy traveling and family activities.

Chip's career in wealth management began in 1998, when he joined Merrill Lynch. He is a qualified portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm's Investment Advisory Program, a portfolio manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. In addition, Chip focuses on in intergenerational wealth transfer strategies, using a holistic approach. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and also holds a Certified Investment Management Advisor® (CIMA®) designation.

Chip earned a bachelor's degree in economics at UCLA and lettered on the Bruins' varsity tennis team for three years. He is a director of the Bruin Professionals organization and a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. He also sits on the board of North Ranch Country Club, where he is an active golfer. Chip coaches youth soccer and basketball, and personally participates in basketball and tennis, in addition to golf. He and his wife, Alissa, live in Agoura Hills, California, with their three children, Tyler, Ricky and Alexa.

Tom has been in the financial services industry since 1994, including five years in banking. Since joining Merrill Lynch in 2004, he has focused on helping affluent individuals, families and privately held businesses identify asset allocation and legacy planning strategies. Passionate about building enduring client relationships through outstanding service, Tom advises clients on wealth accumulation, preservation and transfer through the creation of individually customized wealth management strategies utilizing a defined process. He also works closely with clients' other trusted advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to address their tax, trust, philanthropic and legacy issues. Tom is a qualified portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. Tom has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Southern California's School of Business. He and his wife, Amy, live in Palos Verdes Estates with their three children. In his time away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as playing golf.

Paul joined Merrill Lynch in 2012. As one of the first points of contact on the team, he seeks to develop close relationships with clients, getting to know their financial needs and objectives and understand their risk tolerance, time horizon and liquidity requirements so that he can create disciplined strategies designed to help them pursue their long-term goals. Once the recommended strategies are implemented, he follows up regularly to help clients stay on course.

Paul's mission is to help clients simplify and better organize their financial lives so that they can spend their time doing what they enjoy most. He works with specialists from Merrill Lynch to assist clients in various financial areas, including investing and retirement services. He can also provide access to help with philanthropic concerns from Bank of America.

Paul earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Sharyn, live in Northridge and have one son, Eric. His hobbies include hiking and sailing.

Valerie has been with Merrill Lynch since 1984, handling many operational, administrative and client-based services, including establishing and maintaining client account information and coordinating portfolio reviews. She is often the first point of contact for the group's affluent clients.

Valerie majored in English and art at Dominican College in Dublin, Ireland. She resides in Sherman Oaks, California, with her three children.

James joined Merrill Lynch in 2012 after working for nearly four years as a registered research associate at another firm. A dedicated problem solver, he is committed to building strong client relationships and providing exceptional customer service. James provides the team with administrative and operational support, such as executing trades, servicing existing accounts and processing new ones.

James received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu. He resides in Encino, where he enjoys sports, relaxing at the beach and reading.
