With a reputation for creating personalized wealth management strategies that include risk-averse investment portfolios and the opportunity for streamlined financing, The Liebowitz Walker & Muniz Group serves a growing number of business and real estate owners, entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, technology executives and other successful individuals – many, for more than a decade.Having retained these high-net-worth clients through the market volatility of recent years, the team brings its energy, skills and resources to clients in 15 states – the result of ongoing referrals to colleagues, grown children and even grandchildren.“For the most part, clients do not look for home runs. Instead, preserving wealth and generating income that lasts a lifetime are primary goals,” explains David Liebowitz. He adds, “Rather than specialize in one type of investment, we customize portfolios around comfort levels, timelines and objectives of each client.” The team primarily creates its own diversified portfolios, allocating across asset classes to include a combination of selected high-dividend stocks, municipal and corporate bonds, mutual funds, ETFs and options. The Liebowitz Walker & Muniz Group recognizes that business owners, especially, don’t want to be affected by big swings in the market. Instead, they want reliable returns that supplement incomes and minimize tax consequences. “For those with real estate, we often help refinance it, exchange it with other properties, or leverage current holdings to purchase more. Each client is different. Each situation is different. That’s why our involvement is so deep and why we identify opportunities by looking at each clients’ overall net worth,” adds David.
In being responsive to clients, the team strives to simplify and speed the borrowing process – for real estate purchasing, business expansion and other needs. Using securities-based lending, Liebowitz Walker & Muniz helps clients borrow against their portfolio’s value at preferred rates. And because the team is so familiar with arranging for securities-based lending, timelines can be shortened while clients avoid having to sell stock and pay related taxes. As David points out, “Our philosophy is you won’t have to wait or worry. We handle the details.”The Liebowitz Walker & Muniz Group takes a 360-degree view of clients’ financial pictures and is “hands-on” in addressing areas that require attention. For some clients, concentrated stock positions are the group’s focus. For others, team members collaborate with clients’ advisors and/or its own network of attorneys and CPAs. According to Michael Muniz, “Whether we handle a client’s lump sum distribution, arrange for home financing, point out a solution they never considered or generate consistent cash flow, we act as their proactive financial advisors. And rather than tie our client interaction to a calendar, we check in frequently, to see what’s new and how we can help. It’s all about the client’s life and taking action at the right time.”David Liebowitz Senior Vice President – Wealth ManagementSenior Financial AdvisorWith nearly 20 years of experience in asset management – having launched his career in 1993 at Dean Witter – David dedicates himself to creating customized income streams for clients – using carefully-selected equities, corporate and municipal bonds, mutual funds and options.
