Senior Vice President - Wealth Management
Assistant Vice President
The Schell Group brings a genuine interest in clients’ families and livelihoods to the hands-on wealth management it provides. The team is proud of its ability to tailor complex risk-managed strategies, with a focus on simplifying the financial lives of an accomplished clientele in Pennsylvania and nationwide.“Clients are driven to succeed and we’re driven to provide value, ”Chris Schell explains. “Our process begins before investments are ever discussed. And our efforts extend to enhancing distinct areas of a client’s financial picture – from the company they built, to the concentrated stock they hold, to the retirement lifestyle they envision. Appreciating a client’s concerns and aspirations is the cornerstone of the wealth management experience we deliver to clients. ”In serving a private business owner, for example, Chris often tours a new facility and assists before and after the enterprise is sold. On behalf of a corporate executive, meetings may occur on evenings or weekends – to help finalize a compensation package. Working with retired couples, visiting them at home can provide Chris with insights into changing health requirements. The Schell Group also provides current and future cash flow analyses. Asking if clients have immediate liquidity needs, the team may suggest “raising cash without urgency” and offer access to Bank of America – to help clients for large purchases, refinancing or to help children starting out. “For long-term portfolio growth, we focus on valuations and whether investments should be owned. We also favor sectors moving ‘above the trend’ sourced from the firm’s top-ranked global research analysts. Finally, we’re mindful of diversification, cost and tax efficiencies – and may include bonds and ETFs“ –given our extensive experience managing tax-free municipal bond portfolios,” Chris points out. “When confronted with financial situations, we want to be clients’ first call, to help them avoid emotional decisions,” Chris adds. “We also want to share important milestones with our clients."
