Cynthia Hayes Karcher, CRPC® Senior Vice President - Wealth Management, began her career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in 1977. She holds Series 3, 7, 8, 63 and 65 FINRA registrations.Through Goals-Based Wealth Management and as a Wealth Management Advisor, Cynthia draws upon her academic and industry experience. She has extensive knowledge in retirement planning, sound portfolio construction, estate/succession planning services and debt management. She is a graduate of Dickinson College with a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, and was recognized as an Anthony Math Scholar, Economics, as well as a University Dana Scholar. She has taken several courses through the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.Combining Goals-Based Wealth Management and a disciplined wealth management process, she and her team member, Stephanie Thompson, offer a high degree of seasoned client service simultaneously with personalized strategic solutions based upon the clients risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs and overall investment goals.Some of Cynthia's activities include serving on the Parish Council for Saint John's Church. She was one of ten Resident Directors in Global Wealth Management to serve on the Inaugural Resident Directors Advisory Council to Management. She is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, St. Francis University, Loretto, PA and on the Board of Directors for Garvey Manor and Our Lady of the Alleghenies Residence Retirement Community, Hollidaysburg, PA.Cynthia and her husband, Richard, have three children and reside in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.
Stephanie J. Thompson, CRPC® Registered Senior Client Associate, started her career in the financial services industry in 1988, joining Merrill Lynch in 1995. She holds Series 7, 63 and 66 FINRA registrations. Throughout the years, Stephanie has participated in numerous Merrill Lynch training symposiums and has taken several courses through the New York Institute of Finance.Stephanie offers a high degree of knowledgeable administrative and operational experience as well as overall client service. She works closely with clients to address day-to-day inquiries promptly and efficiently. Her seasoned skill sets and comprehension of the business compliments the team’s Goals-Based Wealth Management approach.Stephanie's volunteer activity includes both time as a Literacy Tutor and a crisis phone operator for Contact USA through Contact Altoona.
